Privacy policy

This policy explains how TR Building Removals handles personal information collected through trbuildingremovals.nz. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you use a form on this site we collect only what we need to answer you:

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• Details of your enquiry: what you want moved, where from and where to, timing, budget range if you choose to give one, and anything else you write in the notes.
• Any photos or site plans you choose to upload. These are stored privately and are not published anywhere.
• The page you were on when you sent the enquiry.

We do not ask for and do not want financial details, identity documents or anything else of that kind through this website.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and keep a record of what was discussed. We also use aggregate, non identifying website statistics to understand which pages are useful.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in a database hosted in Sydney, Australia, and are also sent to our office by email. Uploaded files are held in private storage and are reachable only through time limited links issued to our own staff.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than the service providers who run our website, database and email on our behalf. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass your details to other companies for marketing.

If your project needs a surveyor, an engineer or a finance broker, we will suggest people to talk to. We do not hand your details over to them. That is your call to make.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as they are useful for the relationship, and for any period the law requires. Uploaded files are kept with the enquiry they belong to.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not track you across other websites.

We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and see which pages people find useful. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not follow you anywhere else. It records the page you visited, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used, all of it aggregated rather than tied to you.

We also count how often people tap the phone number or send a quote request, so we know whether the website is doing its job. Those counts are not linked to individuals.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email admin@trbuildingremovals.nz or phone 027 244 9006 and we will sort it out.
